It’s tempting to focus on the ugliness in life. There is certainly plenty of it. But for this week’s “Earth” challenge, I chose a series of uplifting photos from our travels in Mexico, Canada, and Arizona. These seascape and landscape vistas inspire me with their beauty and fill me with peaceful thoughts. I am hoping they bring you the same tranquility.
Beauty is truth, truth beauty, – that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know. ~John Keats
There are dark shadows on the earth, but its lights are stronger in the contrast.~Charles Dickens
Earth laughs in flowers.~Ralph Waldo Emerson
And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair”
― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
Have an inspiring week, everyone!

Beautiful images Patti. Although I think I could be a street photographer which would bring me face-to-face with the ‘ugliness’, ‘reality’, or what not of earth, I’m much happier with the beauty of Nature. Great post!

Those are gorgeous photos. And, yes there is enough ugliness to focus, but it makes me happy to see places like this. Thank you for sharing.

Find myself comforted by anything outdoors. Your photos inspire me to keep my eyes open. It is all free for the looking and yet we buy ‘Disney World’ and cruises to nowhere. We ignore what we are meant to see and experience so we can spend millions on pretend.
