Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: #11 Small is Beautiful

During our visit to Victoria, B.C. this summer, we visited an intriguing place nicknamed the greatest little show on earth.  Curious?  Let’s take a tour together.

We’ll start with a birds-eye view of a steep mountain pass in Switzerland.

Then, we’ll visit a country fair at dusk in beautiful British Colombia.

Next, we’ll take a quick trip back in time to France, to visit a village during World War II.

Now, you know that Miniature World has a quirky mix of scenes from different historical time periods, famous books, and events.  Some of miniatures are quite realistic.  Of course, I had to document quite a few with my camera.

I’ll end this post with another “small” photo, shot at Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Once a year, thousands of butterflies are released into their tropical conservatory.   A small red and black butterfly lingered on this little girl’s finger.  I watched her, holding my breath.   Small is very beautiful, don’t you think?

    • Thank you so much, Ann-Christine. That little girl is precious, isn’t she? Her brother was understandably jealous that the butterly landed on her finger and not his!! Enjoy the weekend.

  13. Hi Patti the miniature of world of Lego escaped me initially.I thought the majority of photos would be in line with your ast photo. But in the end like your post shows, it was quite a variety. That street in France is excellently done
