Fun is good. ~Dr. Seuss
For this week’s Lens-Artists Photo Challenge, it’s my turn to choose the theme. Halloween is just around the corner, so I figured it was time for a little photography fun.
Let’s start with the portrait of Sir Lab, an elegant breed with a fine pedigree.

Sir Lab. Shot with a Google Pixel 2.
People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing.~Dale Carnegie

Bubble Gum Fun. Shot with a Fuji X-T2.
The owners of this dog-friendly shop in Amherst, Massachusetts clearly have their favorite customers.

Dogs Welcome, Amherst, MA. Shot with a Google Pixel 2.
You gotta have fun.~Derek Jeter

Brexit. Royal Academy of Art, London. Shot with a Fuji X-T2
When you have confidence, you can have a lot of fun. And when you have fun, you can do amazing things.~Joe Namath
I love the irreverence in this work:

Nose Art. Royal Academy of Art, London.
If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun. ~Katharine Hepburn
And the satire here:

The Bear Rug’s Revenge. Royal Academy of Art, London. Shot with a Fuji X-T2.
Feel free to interpret this week’s Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #17–JUST FOR FUN–in any way you choose. Most of all, have fun! A special thanks to all of you who participate. The next challenge (#18) will be hosted by the talented Ann-Christine on Saturday, November 3rd at noon. I hope you will join us!
DID YOU SEE THESE?
Here are some posts you don’t want to miss from last week’s Big Is Beautiful challenge:
- Jude from Under a Cornish Sky shows us BIG and beautiful skies over Cornwall.
- Abrie Joubert shares images of a really BIG bird–the ostrich–in South Africa.
For more information on the Lens-Artists Photo Challenges, click here. Most importantly, remember to TAG your post ” Lens-Artists ” so it appears in the Reader.
And finally, have a fun-filled and inspiring week!

Such a fun challenge, Patti! Great choices, and I must say The Bear Rug’s Revenge was really unusual…Art is always fun!

Thanks, Ann-Christine! I thought it was unusual too. It was half serious, half satire. I thought it was a statement on animal rights and Mother Nature’s revenge if we don’t protect our wildlife. What do you think?
