Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.–Paolo Coelho, The Alchemist
A warm welcome to Aletta of Now At Home who is the first of our guest hosts for this month. She has given us a beautiful challenge–to visualize our treasures.

As we’ve moved over the years, I’ve distilled many of our possessions into a few treasured objects: a Vermeer paperweight from a trip to the Netherlands and a key from our house in Boston.

Like Aletta, I love our time at the beach. During the pandemic, we were nourished by our walks at Wallis Sands Beach in New Hampshire. The skies were often dramatic and stunning. We always left the beach feeling calm and invigorated.

And I can’t forget our walks in the woods–like the one pictured here in Holland, Michigan. When the wind blows, the trees sigh overhead and I take a deep breath, too, drawing in their peaceful, towering presence.

How can I forget travel on my list of treasures? Even though getting from here to there is far from easy right now, I still love exploring new places. Fortunately, my husband does, too–as you can see in one of my favorite images of him when he was traveling to Australia many years ago.

I’ve saved my greatest treasure for last…the love of family and friends. Here you can see my son, when he was just a few hours old.
A special thanks to Aletta for hosting our first July challenge this month. We hope you join us and share your Treasures. Be sure to link to Aletta’s post and use the Lens-Artists tag. Last week, your “eyes” surprised and delighted us for Tina’s “The Eyes Have It” Challenge.
What’s up next? We hope you’ll join all of our talented guest hosts this month:
July 9, Jez Braithwaite of Photos by Jez is Seeing Double.
July 16, Andre of My Blog–Solaner is thinking about Summer Vibes.
July 23, Tracy, who posts at Reflections of an Untidy Mind, has chosen Surrealism.
July 30, Sarah Wilkie, who hosts Travel with Me, asks you to share Three Favorite Images.
The Lens-Artists team will be back in August.
Once again, I hope you have a safe, healthy and inspiring week!

Cute with his expression.

Hi!
Patti I like your treasures and your son had a lot of hair at the three hour mark’
Wow
Also / seeing the paperweight and key was timely because I was thinking of you today!
About how you sold everything and moved!
I was wondering how hard it was and how long it took you to get rid of everything
Also – any tips for what you would do different if you had it to do over again?
